What's Changing for 2027?

Adult Primary Care

Beginning January 1, 2027, HUGHP will expand its adult primary care provider network to include Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) adult primary care provider groups in Massachusetts, alongside existing HUHS and Atrius provider groups. All HUGHP members will continue to have access to the full Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts HMO Blue network for specialty, mental health, and pediatric care.

Plan Types

HUGHP plan options are not changing. HUGHP will continue to offer HMO, POS, and POS Plus plans.

Prescription Formulary

Certain medications may change copayment tiers, may no longer be covered, or may move into a formulary management program (e.g., require prior authorization). If impacted, you will receive a letter from Express Scripts about the change in coverage.

Look Up Your Prescription Copayment Estimate

Visit the Express Scripts Pharmacy Benefit Estimate Tool (express-scripts.com) and follow the instructions below. (The search tool is for the 2026 calendar year benefits.)

• Select the HUGHP plan that applies to you (HUGHP HMO POS Nonunion, HUGHP HMO POS Union, or HUGHP POS Plus Nonunion) and click “View Details.”
• Select the “Price a Medication” box.
• Type in the name of the medication and provide all information that is listed in the boxes below the medication box tool.
