HUGHP is a University-owned asset, managed by HUHS staff.
HUGHP will help:
- You understand if a particular service is covered
- With a bill that you received
- Guide you on what your cost-share could be (copayment, deductible?)
- You locate network providers, including primary care physicians, therapists, medical specialists, and urgent care centers
HUGHP also manages its own website, marketing materials, and communications.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is HUGHP's third-party administrator.
Blue Cross Blue Shield partners with HUGHP to:
- Issue medical ID cards
- Provide technology resources like the MyBlue member app
- Pay your medical claims
- Manage medical policies and prior authorizations
- Contract with providers in your network
- Provide a range of health and wellness programs, discounts, and resources
