The high-deductible health plan (HDHP) features lower premiums and the ability for members to make pre-tax contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA). The HSA can be used to pay for eligible expenses—and when you reach age 65, the account can pay for post-retirement health expenses tax-free.
The Harvard University Group Health Plan HDHP is the only HDHP that gives you access to Harvard University Health Services in addition to the full Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts PPO network.

Eligible costs incurred by any combination of members enrolled under the same family plan contribute to the family deductible; however, you must reach the family deductible before benefits are provided for any one member.
